Hi there, I am just curious as to how many people here have played some of the old PS1 games. If so, what games have you tried. Which ones stood out and set the bar for the newer stuff now?

Personally playing games like Final Fantasy 7 and 8 seem better to me than playing Final Fantasy 13.

I loved the old PS1 so much that I finally worked out how to use Emulation Software and have hundreds of PS1 Roms on my PC.

Now I can play games like Parasite Eve, Vagrant Story, Gran Turismo, Driver, Tekken 2, Tomb Raider, and many, many more without paying a penny.

If anyone wants to know more about this just contact me, also I'd like to know what everyone's favourites are/were on the PS1 as there may be some that I have not tried yet (but I doubt it!)

Also if you want a free disk with the ps1 game/s of your choice just let me know and I will see what I can do!

I also have emulators for BBC Micro, Sega Master System, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo and more.

Aha some nice games you've mentioned there mate, i have an emulator set up though i'm also playing some of those psone games on my psp. On my psp card i have FFVII, parasite eve2 and metal gear solid (such classics), Finding it hard to put down parasite eve 2 though, on my fourth run now cos i want that gunblade,lol, never managed to unlock it when i played many moons ago, and damn vagrant story is one of my all time fav's, i'm pretty sure that's on the playstation network now so i will probably download that next for my psp, really hoping that vandal hearts 2 comes on the ps network, awesome game, btw which emulator are you using?

The first home console I actually owned, way back in the day. I don't use emulators, but I still play on the actual console.

Ape Escape <- One of my favourites, if not my actual favourite. The music alone has enough power to evoke soul-crushing nostalgia.

My favourite game on PS ; wip3out , Music 2000 , dead or alive , ridge racer type 4 ... and more i have PS1 PS2 saturn dreamcast xbox gamecube. i think i 'm going to buy a ps3 for the new SSX decent. i'm a big fan of SSX

N20 - Cus it was like a game you'd play on crack.

Gran Turismo - The first true racing sim, had pleanty of cars to drive and tracks to race them on.

Wip3out - Crazy high speed racing and awesome ships.

Abe Series - Funny as hell, funny little green men and pleanty of "follow me".

Abe games were hard as hell too iirc.

I personally LOVED playing Team Buddies on PS1. XD

Only ever played the GBC versions of the Abe series, but man, it was hard.

I was a huge Crash Team Racing fan. I got everything in the single player, and completely dominated all my friends. Now I'm pretty bad at it. I'll miss those elementary school days...

I love the digimon anime as a kid, so this game was awesome to me.
