My computer won't start up now, apparently due to a recent hardware or software change.

I had no idea uninstalling Realplayer would do this ._.

Suffice to say! I shan't be on at all until I can get it fixed.

Some very kind person has donated their computer to me whilst I wait for an illegitimate copy of Win 7 to be snail-mailed to my address.

I've tried fixing my current computer by:

Entering safe mode - didn't work
Trying the numerous other recovery options when one holds down F8 at startup - didn't work
Changing the boot order of my hard drives in the bios so this small recovery drive partition would load first and magically fix everything - didn't work

So meh! Gonna see if I can fix the Windows startup files with this illegit copy of Win 7 - when it arrives - or if worst comes to worst, I'll do a clean install.

How odd. As soon as I remember to say I'm back, I have to go again for 8 days to some foreign country directly over Christmas. With the neighbours to look after the cat in our absence.

Pity me! See you all on the 28th. Merry Christmas or whichever other religious event you observe, as if any cares about them!
