 Re: Pso vs real life
I'm sure someone will have it if you ask politely enough in a PM.
Just sayin'.
So uh, anyway, back to the topic at hand (holy hell did we dart off), I wonder what having shifta and deband on FEEL like. I bet it's a crazy rush of energy at high enough levels and some people would get hooked on it like a drug, begging on the street corners, "shifta and deband, plz."

Indeed just do a reverse image search. On topic. On the same note of shifta deband, I think it would be hell to have jellen and zalure. Like you're only 1 step away from being cripple lol.

 Re: Pso vs real life
This makes me wonder how Jellen and Zalure would affect people with illnesses, disabilities, whatev'. Or would it? 8|a

 Re: Pso vs real life
I seem to remember games of the phantasy star canon mentioning this, but I can't recall the specifics now.
But are techniques magical or psychological? Might give an indication as to what they'd feel like and specifically how they'd affect us or what we interacted with.

 Re: Pso vs real life
...Huh. Good question. It's implied in the early games that only Espers can use "real" magic, and the techniques we all know and love were just "manufactured" magic...so if you go by that, Esper magic is psychological, but techniques are solely magical. On the other hand, PSU and to some extent PSO seem to describe spells as a spiritual reaction to photon energy, so... ...I think about this stuff too much. Dammit, Trys.

 Re: Pso vs real life
Haha, sorry!
I was just wondering if it would actually be a lowering or heightening of your physical faculties and something you could feel in yourself, or if it was something external that would impede (as with JZ) you.
Also how they'd be summoned and controlled.

 Re: Pso vs real life
I think, to some extent, that'd depend on what race you were, what timeline you adhered to, and how you reacted to the world around you. So it'd probably be a little different for everyone. I mean, for one person, J/Z could be like a life-threatening weakness suddenly making them faceplant into the floor, but to another, it'd be the equivalent of having a cold or allergies. I really do think about this too much.On the other hand, reacting more strongly to S/D would be pretty bad too. EXTREME SUGAR HIGH!
